Historic Theatres, Campgrounds, Wineries and More across America to Host “One-Man Rock & Country Music Show” in 2018
Phoenix, Ariz. - On November 28 and 29, 2016, independent touring and recording artist, speaker and radio talk show host, Scott Helmer set a new Guinness World Records title for "Most Live Music Performances in 24 Hours (multiple cities)," by successfully performing twelve concerts in 24 hours during a race against time that stretched across California and Arizona. Helmer's entire attempt was used to help twelve worthy causes raise money and awareness for their good work while making history at the same time. Read the full story here.
After taking a year-long hiatus from the road and to help celebrate his new title, Scott Helmer will embark on his biggest concert tour to date beginning May 19 with a show aimed at helping raise money and awareness for those suffering from the ravages of cancer in Wilcox, AZ. Being billed as Scott Helmer's "One-Man Rock & Country Music Show," Helmer will perform live in concert at venues across America ranging from historic theatres, campgrounds, RV parks and ranches, wineries and many more. Carrying full production that includes a 16' wide x 12' deep portable stage, lights, and sound for crowds up to 350 people, Helmer's solo performance will even include a drum solo!
As with all of his past tours, many of the 100+ concerts in 2018 will be fundraisers for causes that he believes in. "My goal is to keep using my music and comeback story to give back and remind others to never give up," says Helmer. The tour will run through December and new shows are being added each week.
Scott Helmer has opened for iconic artists like Heart, Eddie Money, 3 Doors Down, Jeff Bridges, Eric Burdon & The Animals, and more, and after making mistakes, losing it all and being on the brink of suicide, Helmer set out in 2012 to help good causes across the nation raise money and awareness for their important work. Since January of that year, Helmer has appeared in more than 1,000 performances, with over 200 being benefit concerts that have helped raise more than $2 million dollars for military veterans and their families, equine and pet rescues, food banks, non-profit theatres, special needs children and adults, high schools and colleges, and suicide prevention, a cause that is very near and dear to the entertainer.
