Transform Your Next Fundraiser into an Unforgettable Event Featuring Scott's Live Music, Comeback Story, and Mission to Help Others
TEMPE, Ariz. – In 2008, Scott Helmer sat alone in his car on a remote mountain road in Northern Arizona, a gun in his mouth and seconds away from ending his life. After losing his family, wealth, and way, he cried out to God and made a promise:
“If you help me through this, I won’t give up. I’ll use my comeback story to help others.”
At the time, he was working as an insurance broker and, standing at a crossroads during the financial crash, made a desperate and illegal decision to use client trust account funds to try and right the ship of his failing business—believing he could fix things and pay it back.
He was wrong. Facing the consequences and the real possibility of prison, he lost everything.
But what he found was a deeper truth that now fuels his mission:
No matter how bad things get, no matter what mistakes you’ve made—even if you’ve broken the law or think your life is over—suicide is never the answer, and a comeback is always possible.
That promise led to a new chapter as a recording artist and touring musician on a mission—and eventually, a Guinness World Records holder—bringing him back to his first love: music.
Since 2012, Scott has kept that promise, performing over 1,000 solo-acoustic shows across America and helping raise more than $3 million for good causes, including 200+ fundraising concerts. Many of these events have directly benefited equine-assisted services programs and organizations, including members of PATH Intl., EAGALA, and the American Hippotherapy Association.
“Scott had everyone singing, dancing and ‘whooping it up.’ No one wanted the evening to end!”
Scott’s fundraising concert opportunity is entirely unique—created and delivered by an independent artist whose mission is to support good causes through music. He’s opened for major acts like Heart, Eddie Money, 3 Doors Down, Jeff Bridges, and Eric Burdon & The Animals, performing for thousands—but it’s his mission-driven solo shows that leave the deepest impression.

🎤 SCOTT’S PERFORMANCE & BOOKING EXPECTATIONS
Scott travels solo, lives full-time on the road in his 40' coach, and delivers a powerful solo-acoustic performance using his own professional sound system and compact stage ambiance package, which includes LED lights, a haze machine, and a branded Scott Helmer backdrop. He handles all setup and breakdown himself and takes pride in being professional, organized, and easy to work with. He travels hundreds of miles each week—thousands per year—to make these special events happen.
Scott’s role at your event is to provide inspiring, high-quality live entertainment that adds a meaningful and memorable element to your fundraiser. His songs, storytelling, and comeback story connect with audiences in a powerful way.
He is not the MC, auctioneer, or event organizer—his focus is on delivering an unforgettable performance, not managing the event.
✅ WHAT TO EXPECT:
Solo Performance: Scott is the only performer on the concert portion of your event. No opening acts, support acts, or additional performers will be added to the schedule or permitted to use his equipment.
Sound & Gear: Once his gear is set up and sound-checked, it must remain undisturbed. Except for his own performance, Scott is not the event’s sound technician—but he provides a fully self-contained setup, including:
Optional background music before the show
A dedicated microphone for announcements, keynote speakers, or your auctioneer
Power requirement: Two grounded 20-amp outlets located within 50 feet of the performance area
AV Support: A member of your team with basic audio/visual knowledge should be assigned in advance to handle any event AV needs. During soundcheck, Scott will provide a brief tutorial to ensure smooth operation of his equipment without affecting his setup.
Sound & Lighting: During the show, Scott controls his own sound and lighting in real time from the stage.
⏰ ARRIVAL, SETUP & OVERNIGHT PARKING:
For evening events: Scott arrives the morning of the show
For daytime events: Scott arrives the afternoon or evening before
Load-in, setup, and soundcheck will take place after arrival and may take several hours. All work is completed well before guests arrive.
VIP meet-and-greets or media interviews should be scheduled in advance and added to your event day sheet, if applicable.
After soundcheck, Scott begins his mandatory pre-show routine—rest, a light meal, and vocal warm-ups. This time is essential to delivering his best performance.
Overnight Parking: In most situations, Scott will remain parked at your venue overnight and break down and load out his equipment the following morning before departure. If that’s not possible, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
💰 A CONCERT THAT’S WORTH SO MUCH MORE
Booking an artist with Scott’s touring experience, story, and original music would typically cost $10,000 or more—before adding the cost of sound, lights, and crew.
Scott offers the entire experience—performance and production—for just $3,500, because he believes in his mission—and in yours.
It’s a professionally presented, turnkey event that requires no rentals or crew on your end. Scott brings his own sound system and a simple light setup—everything needed for a polished show.
To help you raise even more, Scott donates an autographed guitar to every fundraising event. Many organizations cover his entire fee just by raffling or auctioning it off.
Living full-time on the road, Scott travels thousands of miles each year to share his music, his story, and the kind of human connection that’s harder to find these days. Touring this way isn’t easy—but it’s honest, and that’s what matters most.
